Windfarm Plotter is designed to let you search for known windfarms, and display them on the map, detailing the individual Turbines. It will allow for multiple windfarms to be displayed at once on the map.

The secondary function is to allow distances and headings to be calculated. It is possible to add and name a Property marker on the map whereever desired. Once such a property is added, by clicking on a Turbine marker the distance and heading of the Turbine from the Property Marker will be calculated.

There is an option to clear any windfarms that you have plotted and also to clear any properties you have plotted so you may start afresh, from a different location.

Display windfarms on the map: search for the windfarm by using the “search for Windfarm” tab. Once a windfarm is selected and displayed, it will appear in the “Selected Windfarms” tab.

Add a property marker to the map: click the map at the desired location, complete the Property name and it will be indicated on the map with a marker. An entry will be included in the “Property Locations” tab. Locating properties on the map is made easier by switching to the Satelite view and zooming in to find the property.

Calculate distances between Property and Turbine: selecting the Property Marker to measure distances from, then, click the desired turbine Marker and the distance and heading from the Property to the Turbine will be calculated.

Select a Property: Click on the Property Name in the list in the “Property Locations” tab or click the Property marker on the map. The selected Property is indicated by concentric rings drawn around the property and 500m intervals up to a distance of 2Km. Right clicking the mouse on the property marker will de-select it.

Start entering the name of a Windfarm and then select it to display it:

Enter a UK Post code to show all known windfarms in the area.

This list shows all windfarms you have selected to show on the map. By removing the checkmark against a windfarm it will be removed from the map. However, this reference will not, allowing you to redisplay the windfarm by replacing the checkmark next to the windfarm.

This list shows all Properties you've added to the map. These can be 'selected' by clicking on the property below, or clicking the property marker on the map. To 'de-select' the property, right click the marker on the map.
